151a Not A Vlog: Grove lock to Stoke Hammond

This is NOT a vlog. It is “Slow TV” – real time footage from the bow camera as I took the narrowboat from Grove lock through Leighton Buzzard and up to Stoke Hammond. The funny noises you may hear from my engine are because it isn’t happy going at tickover or into and out of neutral. Seems to run fine apart from that…

  1. I enjoy your Vlogs so..peaceful. Thank you!

  2. Ahoy David,

This is now my go-to Slow TV.

I’m in the States and grew up at the confluence of the Ohio and Muskingum rivers. I’ve always loved the water and spent four years on the high seas on board the USS Bainbridge (CGN 25).

Your life aboard is far more fascinating to me than Peter Mayle’s time in Southern France. Might a book be in the offing?

    Cheers,

    Jeff

    • Hello Jeff. Glad you enjoy the videos! I’ve been asked about doing a book before and honestly, I doubt it. I really dislike writing – typical writer, I stare at the blank page then procrastinate a lot. Maybe one day… cheers
