Vlog 339: Sweet Music

The annual Evesham River Festival was held in 2024 on Saturday July 13th and within it this year was a gathering of the “Russell Newbery Register”. Russel Newbery – yes, that is the correct spelling – is a manufacturer of slow-revving, high-torque diesel engines which are ideal for narrowboat use.

I went along to find out why people love these engines so much – and to have a browse around the rest of the festival which included small steam launches, fibreglass cabin cruisers, pedalos, and stalls along the river bank.
