Vlog 149: The Sleeping Cow
Filmed in the last week of September 2018, this was the last part on my autumn cruise in which I headed south; the plan always was to turn around at the end of the month and go back. For logistical reasons – LOTS of upcoming locks! – it also made sense to do a 180 degree turn at this point.

Bulbourne (where I live) to Cow Roast is the Summit pound. Downhill to London, downhill to Birmingham.
So many locks!!
Your comment re the coolness in the cut under the trees made me chuckle.
In the last 2 weeks of July 2019 the afternoon high temperatures were 35-38 depending where we were.
The shade and coolness of this section and the cut at Tring were most welcome breaks from the sun and heat.
