Vlog 149: The Sleeping Cow

Filmed in the last week of September 2018, this was the last part on my autumn cruise in which I headed south; the plan always was to turn around at the end of the month and go back. For logistical reasons – LOTS of upcoming locks! – it also made sense to do a 180 degree turn at this point.

  1. Bulbourne (where I live) to Cow Roast is the Summit pound. Downhill to London, downhill to Birmingham.

  2. Your comment re the coolness in the cut under the trees made me chuckle.
In the last 2 weeks of July 2019 the afternoon high temperatures were 35-38 depending where we were.
The shade and coolness of this section and the cut at Tring were most welcome breaks from the sun and heat.
