Although not on par with your woes, I’ve been taking tender loving care of my wife these past five months after her hip replacement and knee problems, curtailing our usual jaunts around Oz in our motorhome, so I am also going through your Vlogs from the start (up to 107). As I’ve said in the past to you, your soothing voice and “peculiar” sense of humor always bring a smile to my face. The scenery is not half bad either. This week we’ve had temps up to 44C, so we’re hunkered inside in the aircon, which I think is an unknown term in the UK, for cooling at least. :) Anyway, just think, things could be worse. You could be moored at Whitchurch! Take care, from ᗡoʍu Ոupǝɹ.
I could not bear 44C (I don’t like it much above 23!!) so that sounds horrendous, quite frankly. And my best wishes to you both, that’s rather substantial surgery!
Happy New Year! Thank you for the update on things happening. Enjoy watching your videos and find them very relaxing. Even the ones with no dialogue! Best of luck to you and your sister, caregiving , although necessary, can be overwhelming. Your plans for weekend cruising is a good way to recharge and relieve the stress. You and your sister are wonderful human beings; caring for a family member is demanding on all levels from physical to emotional. I’ve been there twice and although it was very hard for me and required some large sacrifices, it was a gift that was appreciated so very much. I wish you all the best and don’t worry about three videos a month, just take care of yourself.
