For Christmas Day, what could be finer than bringing my canal wife and canal mistress together for a lovely spot of lunch aboard the narrowboat, eh? So I did.

I’m still a quart low on caffeine this morning, or else I blinked at an inopportune moment, and missed the word “canal” when I read the description. I thought, “Wait, what????”
