Vlog 267b: Wheel Meet Again
As part of the 200th anniversary celebrations for the Union Canal in Scotland, running from Edinburgh to Falkirk, two flotillas were organised over two days in May. I joined both, through a bit of logistical effort involving my campervan, and this is the second of my videos of that trip.

Do remember that the Scottish bagpipes are an instrument of war, not a musical intrument, which is why they are so loud, in order to be heard above the tumult of battle.
That explains a lot!
Another excellent vlog David. Is there no end to your skills?
We ‘did’ the Wheel a few years ago, but alas, not using our own boat. We went on one of the trip boats that takes visiors up and then down the Wheel turning around at the top for the reverse trip. Very strange as there is no sensation of movement as such.
Did you see the Kelpies when you were there? Amazing structures.
Well done – again.
Thank you. Unfortunately I only saw the Kelpies in the distance as I drove past; I’d intended to visit but ended up coming back home slightly earlier than planned.
A wonderful pair of videos David. A really enjoyable watch. Cheers.
Thank you :-)
So glad we found your show. We now watch all of your iterations, YouTube, streaming, and internet. Your wholesome approach is so important to me personally in this strange and angry world right now. A few hours of watching and I feel humanity has returned. Thank you.
That’s a lovely comment, thank you so much!
