Vlog 90A: Not Another Not A Vlog

Consider this not so much a vlog (because it isn’t at all one of those) and more as some extra bonus footage; it’s a compilation of shots taken from the bow of the boat as I went along the Trent and Mersey in the last two vlogs.

  1. Is hitchhiking along the tow path allowed and do boaters often give the hikers a ride?

    • Anyone can walk along the towpath but I don’t know how much success you’d have with hitching a ride. Not prohibited as far as I know but how many boaters would pick up strangers I don’t know.

  2. I can’t believe only a couple of months ago it was frozen over but look at it now lovely. Keep up the good work David.

  3. Brilliant! There are times when the maxim “less is more” is particularly appropriate, and so it is with “talking” and “gliding through the pristine and luscious English countryside in warm sunshine at 3 mph on a narrowboat”.

These silent vlogs, more even than your excellent talkie-vlogs, bring out the essence of the sublime in narrowboating. This is why I spend many of my holidays on a boat :)

    So serene, envy You!
