Vlog 105: Straight Out Of Compton
My journey down the Staffs & Worcester canal continues, picking up from Compton where I moored at the end of the last vlog, and heading south through Kidderminster and eventually ending up in Stourport. En route I see an unusual butty and get thoroughly whacked on the nose by another boat exiting a lock.
Haha. You’ve got “Dudlay” off to a T, haven’t you?
:-)
Wow! That house and garden at 7:0 was truly beautiful but as you say, why would you buy a home next to a canal, if you don’t want to see boat? Also, the Skipper of the boat who rammed you coming out of the lock was sad to say . . . a Total Jerk. Rather than say he was sorry and admit it was he, who was in the wrong, he let his pride get in the way. It is too bad when people react this way. This one had many beautiful scenes David, thank you.
Thank you for making me laugh out loud at the comments on “that notice”, boaters really are some of the best folk in the world.
Enjoying all your vlogs so don’t stop!
Thank you
In respect to “the notice” maybe the area would be a good venue for a NB rally to celebrate to start of the stove lighting season.
With damp wood perhaps?!
That sign left me rather angry too, how dare they? They should grow more trees to hide the canal or even better move elsewhere!
The boat that hit you….you have my sympathy.
I really enjoy your vlogs
keep em coming
Thank you. Yes, I’ve no idea why people think they should expect boaters to obey their “polite notices” either!
