Vlog 333: The Write Stuff
Two things: first of all, after at least two years of laborious scribbling, I have finally finished my book all about the canals and made it available for purchase at https://cruisingthecut.co.uk/ebook/. The book is largely a “brain dump” of everything I have learned about the canals, the boats and the people on them in my seven years as a liveaboard. If you are considering buying a canal boat for holidays, weekends or even life afloat then there should be some useful information in the book for you as you begin your exploration of the waterways life.
Secondly, the video contains an update on the “Twiggy” cabin cruiser refurbishment which is that there has been minimal progress but that there is a plan of action of sorts.
So funny and relatable when you said when you have a big project the thing that happens is procrastination and buying stuff you will need/want later! As one who has been working on my condo unit for years now, I can totally relate!!!
Procrastination is my favourite hobby!
Good God David. You really do have a job on your hands!
Could the plastic panel thing be perspex?
Good luck.
Quite possibly, that’s the word I was hunting for anyway!
Is the battery control panel mounting surface a piece of acrylic sheet, maybe?
Greetings from Virginia, USA.
Might be….
Excellent update and congratulations on completing your book! Good to see what’s happening with Twiggy too. Is there a story behind your cool t-shirt?
Which t-shirt was I wearing?
Mad campers!
Aha! That was from when I went to New Zealand in Feb 2020 (yes, just as the pandemic started getting traction – brilliant timing) and hired a tiny campervan. See my van channel at https://vandemonium.co.uk/travels/vlog-40-kiwi-kampervan/
Curious- why black and white photo pages instead of color? The people can select either black and white or color when printing their OSF pages. Unless, it cost you more to have color in your master copy.
Just curious
It’s colour in the actual document! I only own a black and white printer which is why it’s monochrome in my printout!
