Vlog 285A: To the Beyond of the Backs
I was invited to take part in a trip that very few narrowboats are able to enjoy, along the “Cambridge Backs” – the river Cam running through all the historic university colleges. For most of the year the waterway is forbidden to powered craft but in winter, with permission, you can take a narrowboat. The trip is in two parts, this being the first is the voyage from Ely to Cambridge; part 2 is the trip along the Backs themselves.
Nice one David. Looking forward to Part 2.
Have a very Merry Christmas.
Thanks Barry. Coming soon!
Wonderful so far David, I cannot wait to see the second episode.
Thank you!
Cheers Peter! It’s coming soon.
Tip tree Marina is not so, it was about 2 miles north. You pointed out Shrubbs Worf Marina.
I had my boat at tip tree marina.
Regards
Gary
Cheers, I was re-tracing my steps using Google Maps when I wrote the script and must have got confused.
Splendid. Just the “mini-vacation” I needed from a rainy and gloomy day in Alabama albeit via video.
