Vlog 248: When the ship hits the fans
This is not a video about canals or narrowboats but it’s a project which I found very interesting and the couple taking it on are absolutely lovely and worthy of your attention.
See Ship Happens at www.youtube.com/ShipHappensUK
and
see their video of the day I visited: www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMKknTDGBqw
Blimey! They’ve got a task in front of them! Good luck to them both. I hope they succeed.
David – any chance of an update of their progress as time rolls on?
I will likely go back for an update but probably a few years down the line as progress will be slow. In the meantime, they post weekly videos on their own channel (link in the description). Cheers
Nice video, thank you David. Let’s hope this lovely couple can bring the restoration to fruition. It seems a monumental task.
Monumental indeed, it will be interesting to see how things look in a couple of years’ time.
Excellent video as always, David. Your subject range continues to widen and the quality of the end product knows no bounds.
I wish these two all the best with their project. Clearly full marks for enthusiasm and know-how. I was all ‘on board’ until you mentioned that they had full time jobs and only work on the boat on weekends. That could be their weak spot assuming, of course, that they have endless funds. I’ll be watching their vlogs.
Last comment – is shippery really a word? If not, it certainly should be!
Shippery is most definitely not a word but I still reserve the right to use it!! Cheers
This is an amazing video and an even greater story. Thanks for taking the time to film and produce this.
Thank you for watching! Cheers
