Vlog 192: Stairway to Caldon
A video in which Jasmin (who is still my guest at this point) and I turn off the Trent and Mersey canal and onto the Caldon, going through the suburbs of Stoke on Trent and I get very grumpy about how many narrow sections and tight, blind corners it has not to mention a distinct lack of convenient spots to moor up.

Hi David
As a grammar Nazi, I must correct you. At the start you said, “I left you with Jasmine and I on the boat”. It should be “Jasmine and me”. To check this, just leave Jasmine out and it becomes “I left you with I on the boat”. A small point and even royals like Charles and William get it wrong.
All the best.
Jeff
Did you purchase a drone David, some beautiful footage at the beginning and I very much enjoyed the staircase locks. Beautiful Condo’s at 8:10. What were the two “Milk Bottles” there? I’m guessing these were chimneys for a trash incinerator ??? The narrow bits on this canal brought back fond memories of the LLangollen.
Yes, I gave in and bought a drone (see my updated FAQ page). The “milk bottles” were pottery kilns.
