Vlog 173: Oliver Twist
A Bank Holiday weekend approached and as I was going away for a few days to visit family, I wanted to moor the boat somewhere secure rather than just leave it on the towpath. So I headed a bit further up the Ashby canal to Trinity Marina at Hinckley and paid to have it moored there. On the way, it rained.

David. Any updates for changing your narrow boat ???.
Graham in Lincoln.
It’s on pause while I go cruising else I would have missed the summer!
Some very nice vistas in this one David, and a beautiful horse too. I’m curious . . . what is the average cost of an overnight stay at one of these Marinas? I hope you had a good time visiting your family. Thanks as always David ;)
I don’t know about average but this was £15/night (inc berth, use of toilet and shower, toilet-emptying point and water point. Electricity extra) and I think that’s not uncommon.
Hi David, I have a friend who lives in Hinckley, used to leave in Herrne Bay and came on a few canal trips with me. Sending him the link to this vlog, he may well become an avid follower. All the best PG
Cheers Peter! Nice one.
