Vlog 113: A Midsummer Week’s Dream
Filmed way, way back in the dizzying summer scorcher of mid-June, this is the final section of my trip up the River Avon in Warwickshire, from Offenham lock (where the last vlog ended), to the canal basin at Stratford-upon-Avon. Along the way there was lovely scenery, gentle river tranquility, and a plethora of ice cream at the end.
Ah, barging through Bidford! My mum lives there… you went past the moored dayhire narrowboats… I remember getting one of these and trying to get to stratford and back in a day (we failed!)….. keep up the good work.. rob
Will do! Cheers
Dunno if you’ve done a longer video before, but I enjoyed the extra time, and as Roberta has said, really fantastic. Thanks, Nigel in Tasmania.
I do longer ones occasionally but it’s really down to a natural flow of where I started and ended, rather than planning for it particularly! Glad you liked it.
Well you have another winner. Just “lovely”. California
Thanks Roberta :-)
I’m revisiting your VLOGS – always a pleasure. The statue is not the Bard but Ronald Gower who designed the statues surrounding his statue. Similarity is uncanny though. Have you any plans to cruise after our quarantine period?
Err no, it is Shakespeare. The memorial was indeed designed by Gower but the statue is of the bard. Why on earth would the centrepiece of the artwork be the bloke who designed it?!
