Vlog 48: Hornblower
After a few days paused at the mooring in Shirley, Birmingham, I moved on down the Stratford upon Avon canal, through the Lapworth lock flight and turned at the Lapworth Link onto the Grand Union canal. During the journey there was sunshine, wildlife spottings, draw bridge dilemmas and a squashed horn. This video explains all.
How do you manage the locks on your own? Do you have any videos/tips on how that is done?
Yes, I have already done a video about this, look through my earlier vlogs.
All so very tranquil and beautiful. I very much enjoyed this one.
Great stuff as always. Those lift and swing bridges are tricky for the solo boater as they are nearly always operated from the wrong side. It’s due to those horses apparently.
Damn those horses!
