*** This competition is NOW CLOSED. DO NOT ENTER! ****

Here was your chance to WIN with Cruising The Cut and Archant, a major UK media company which publishes the excellent “Canal Boat” magazine each month.

I ran the competition as a way of saying thank you to all my subscribers, welcome to my new subscribers and appreciation of over 500,000 total views on my channel.

Entries for the competition should have been sent by email to the address given in the video, with a closing date of midnight on Friday 30 September 2016. My decision on the winner was final, no cash alternative was available.

  1. Just wondered about making your videos more widely available.
As an example I showed an elderly neighbor (without internet) a couple of your vlogs and she loved them, and proceeded to tell all her friends too.
I had the rough idea of an *.iso file of your vlogs in chronological order, then you could maybe make them available on a publicly accessible cloud folder. Maybe it’s a practical idea, maybe not, but I thought you’d like to know.

    • Hi. I don’t want to do that. They’re part of my living inasmuch as I get a little ad money from YouTube from them, and commission via anyone who clicks through to Amazon from the affiliate links. Plus there’s the ads on my website and the encouragement of viewers to subscribe financially via Patreon. It’s not huge sums but it certainly helps.

Whilst I realise people can download anything from YouTube, they shouldn’t and the videos are my copyright works. I’m not going to make them freely downloadable as standalone files from the web. I have considered offering a paid-for DVD compilation but would need to work on some “extras” to make it worth it I think.

      • Understood, and I’ll pass your comments on.
Maybe for later you might consider the paid-for compilation, as I can guarantee you some sales here.
        Thanks & Good luck
